Jeffrey Bradley

Jeffrey was born in Portsmouth in 1938. He completed a Shipwright apprenticeship in Portsmouth Naval Dockyard before serving twenty-seven years in the Royal Navy. Many an evening was spent on the upper decks of the various ships on which he served studying the seas and skies as he travelled the oceans. The influence of these experiences is evident in his paintings and in his skill as a maritime artist. He has lived near the Solent for most of his life and currently resides in Dorset. His passion for art started early in life, becoming his favourite subject in school. Jeffrey is a self-taught artist and has studied the works of E. John Robinson, David Curtis, Steven Dews among others.  He has exhibited and sold work across the UK and abroad, including at the Royal Society of Marine Artists. He is an active member of the Broadstone Art Society.
