Jim spent 22 years traveling the world during his service in the Royal Corps of Signals. Having always been interested in art, Jim began to paint in earnest 20 years ago during his leisure time. Since retiring, Jim has enjoyed devoting his spare time to painting and, feeling a loss of his military family, was pleased to find another family in the form of likeminded painters. In 2011, Jim decided to focus on honing his skills in pastel painting and has had great success selling fine art to collectors in Australia, USA, Canada and the UK. His artworks cover a wide range of subjects including landscapes, seascapes, still life, military, and also portraits of both people and animals. He is pleased to accept commissions working from high quality photographs.
