Martin Dunkin

Martin served in the Royal Navy during the Falklands War in 1982. Having suffered a breakdown in 2003, he spent 13 years attending Combat Stress where he was encouraged to take up a hobby in order to help him work through tough times. Having never picked up a paintbrush before, Martin managed to develop an impressive technique with the help and encouragement of staff and fellow veteran Darren. “Painting is a release for me and enables me to put damaging thoughts out of my mind and to lose myself in art”.
